Almost double the size of any other full grown adult with correct proportions. Superb in every way – social and sure, confident, and an especially pronounced temperament (scoring 97 points in IPO 1 Protection). Very intimidating at first sight, yet has the natural desire to follow every command given. Very calm and gentle nature with a great desire to belong in the home with his family. He knows what he can do, and has no need or desire to be dominant. Shows an excellent relationship with his handler in obedience with reliable and ultra-fast reactions to the commands. Loves playing with a ball and retrieves great. Calm and well behaved inside the home and with children, neutral towards other dogs. Extremely advanced social skills, he loves to be in the home close to his handler. Natural protective instincts, announces the arrival of strangers with strong barking. Especially strong in protection work, demonstrating full and super hard grips, intensive guarding in the bark and hold and after the out. Great handler control during protection work, and is able to transition from calm and quiet behavior to active behavior when challenged.
